A sustainable hospitality network for international artists on the island of Sardinia, Italy.

Pepebianco is a cultural association based in Milis. They are interested in antique techniques of craftsmanship with natural materials. They research and take inspiration from nature to work out common uses for natural and local materials, such as straw, bulrush and cattail.
Pepebianco explores a wide range of ways to use the 'waste' of trials and experiments.
Every year they take records of the quality and quantity of the wheat that they plant and the straw that they produce, building relationships with local existing suppliers, and working closely with the local business Pepebianco hats-shop, for hats and accessories.
The association also organizes workshops to teach people how to braid straw and spread the stories of this ancient local tradition.

I Campi is a small nursery created and run by the landscape architects and gardeners Leo Minniti and Italo Vacca. It is specialized in hemerocallis and plants suitable for the Mediterranean climate and is reference point for all those in Sardinia looking for gardens in harmony with the landscape and the identity of the territory. The nursery houses a garden-laboratory where countless plants have been tested for fifteen years.
"Our job is to produce plants and conceive new green spaces that harmonize with the character of the earth, architecture and local people. We believe that innovation in landscape architecture in Sardinia must start from the existing reality, which can be enriched without interventions and manipulations that change its identity. We use plants and materials appropriate to the context, conceiving the spaces, thinking about the sustainability of the project and listening to and interpreting the dreams of each client to give them new ones."

Il Gruppo Folk Milis Pizzinnu nasce nel 1982 con l'obiettivo di portare in giro per il mondo gli abiti e le danze tradizionali del paese di Milis, è uno dei gruppi più longevi in Sardegna e vanta la partecipazione a numerosi festival e europeadi in giro per l'Europa. Da 26 anni organizza il Festival Internazionale del Folklore nominato "La Vega" a cui hanno partecipato numerosi gruppi da tutto il mondo, ospitati dal gruppo stesso nel paese di Milis per 10 giorni. Da qualche anno al Festival "La Vega" si è aggiunta anche una serata gastronomica multiculturale dove i gruppi cucinano i loro piatti tipici che vengono poi proposti alla popolazione.

This award was created to support, promote and connect emerging artists all around the world and work to enhance the profile of young and/or undiscovered talent. We are thrilled to be able to partner with the Nocefresca Residency program to offer our 6th Edition winner a three month residency in Sardinia Italy.

Founded in 2009 by Bruno Savona and Martina Silli in Treviso in 2009, the style of Heart Studio consists of an unusual interaction between manual and digital, between instinctive and precise, between spontaneous and meticulous. Careful in developing projects that are able to provoke expressive and emotional reactions, Heart Studio crosses different disciplines, offering services ranging from the development of Concept, Illustration, Identity, Branding, Packaging, Exhibit design, Textile design and Web design. Since 2015 he has embarked on an educational path teaching design at Ludum School of Design, and holding workshops at museums with which a strong collaboration relationship is born, in particular the Nivola Museum in Orani, schools and spaces dedicated to culture (in particular at Fallani Venezia - Center of Arts, EXMA in Cagliari).
